Crisis Hotline Numbers

If you’re feeling depressed or suicidal, crisis hotlines can be an invaluable tool. There are currently no Suicide Crisis Line available in Vietnam for Vietnamese or English-speaking residents, but below is the process for another option: Using Skype to call international crisis hotlines.

Everyone is able to download and can create a Skype account on their laptop or phone. Via this telecommunication platform, you can call most landline numbers for a very minimal fee.

Directions:

  1. Download Skype and create an account.
  2. Add credit to your Skype account. 10 USD is a good starting minimum amount. If you need extra help doing this, here are detailed instructions.
  3. Once Skype is set up, call one of the following Crisis Hotline Numbers, based on your country of origin.

Please Note: Alongside most countries is the option for “More Hotlines” in which you can find Crisis Numbers that are specific to certain issues such as Alcohol & Substance Abuse, Domestic & Sexual Violence, Eating Disorders, GLBTQ, Teen & Youth, and other specific disorders. Feel free to follow the “More Hotlines” link to find support more specific to your needs.
